A Tour Of Chatsworth

The Ground Floor

Start the tour on the ground floor and view the North entrance hall, which in its former day was used as a kitchen. Walk through the North Sub-Corridor to get to the Painted Hall, where you can see the fine detail of the painted ceiling. When you have explored enough downstairs then walk up the Great Stairs to the second floor.

The Second Floor

Walk up the Great Stairs to the second floor and wander around the state rooms and in particular the tremendous state Dining Room, with it's fantastic painted walls and ceiling.

After viewing the private quarters of the house you should continue the tour with a visit to the Theatre, found also on the second floor via the Great Dining room and the Sculpture Gallery.
