MacKenzie and Hastings Rooms
MacKenzie
Many of the bedrooms are named after families with which the Comptons have been linked. Each has been decorated in the English country house style, to provide guests with a sense of comfort and-relaxation. Here, the connection with the Mackenzies dates from 1884, when William, the 5th Marquess, married Maysie Baring, grand-daughter of the Rt Hon James Stewart MacKenzie.
Hastings
View Bedroom. The present Marquess and Marchioness have taken a great personal interest in all aspects of the interior design. Guests will feel comfortably at home throughout their stay. The Compton family's ties with the Hastings date back to 1568, when Henry, 1st Lord of Compton, married Frances Hastings, daughter of the 2nd Earl of Huntingdon.
