A mountainous county in the province of Ulster in the Republic of Ireland, Donegal covers an area of 1,864 square miles and a population of 130,000.
Surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic ocean the county has LIfford as it's county town with other major location being the market town of Donegal itself.
Commercial activities include sheep and cattle farming, tweed and linen manufacture and some deep-sea fishing.
The famous and lovely Donegal Bay is to be found very near the town of Donegal.
