The National Guest Flat

The flat is situated on the upper-floor of the castle and is not on view to the public.

General Eisenhower stayed here on several occasions, once as President of the United States and frequently granted the use of it to friends. The Chairman and Executive Committee of the National Trust for Scotland, with the Scottish Heritage USA, Inc. have agreed that the flat may be used for government hospitality and important visitors concerned with the economic and social betterment of Scotland, and for other guests by special request. It is also available for private entertainment, small conferences and seminars.

The Scottish Heritage USA, Inc. is a charitable corporation in the United States, within which Scots, those of Scottish descent and friends of Scotland join together to expand the traditional bonds of friendship between Scotland the United States of America.
